CURTISS-WRIGHT ANNOUNCES J. MCLAIN STEWART RETIRES FROM BOARD OF DIRECTORS

ROSELAND, N.J., Feb. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Board of Directors of Curtiss-Wright Corporation (NYSE: CW) today announced that J. McLain Stewart, 89, is retiring as board member of the company when his term expires at the Corporation's annual meeting on May 5, 2006, after 16 years of service.

Mr. Stewart was elected to the position of Director in 1989. He was a career employee of McKinsey & Company from 1952 to 1997 where he was on the firm's managing committee and a managing director of several of the Company's European offices. He was also a member of the U.S. Army Airborne Infantry and Counter-Intelligence Corps from 1942 to 1947.
