CURTISS-WRIGHT APPOINTS GLENN TYNAN VICE PRESIDENT-FINANCE

LYNDHURST, N.J., Jun 28, 2002 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Curtiss-Wright Corporation (NYSE: CW, CW.B) announced today that Glenn E. Tynan has been promoted to Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Tynan served as the Company's Corporate Controller since May 2000.

Prior to joining Curtiss-Wright, Mr. Tynan was Vice President and Corporate Controller for Movado Group. Previously, he was Corporate Controller for Dexter Corporation and Vice President of Finance for the Lightolier operating unit of the Genlyte/Thomas Group. He began his career with the public accounting firm of Price Waterhouse.

Mr. Tynan earned his Bachelor's degree from Montclair State University and his MBA from the University of Texas. He is a CPA in the State of New Jersey and is affiliated with the American Institute of CPAs, the New Jersey Society of CPAs, and Financial Executives International.

Glenn and his wife, Karen, reside in Randolph, New Jersey, with their three children.
