Curtiss-Wright Extends Long Term Agreement with Boeing Commercial Airplanes

CURTISS-WRIGHT EXTENDS LONG TERM AGREEMENT WITH BOEING COMMERCIAL AIRPLANES

ROSELAND, N.J., Nov 01, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ -- Curtiss-Wright Corporation (NYSE: CW) through its Motion Control segment, Curtiss-Wright Controls, Inc., renewed its long term agreement with Boeing Commercial Airplanes. The agreement extends the current contract from and gives Curtiss-Wright exclusive rights to manufacture products for Boeing production airplanes including 747 leading edge slat actuators; 737 and 767 trailing edge flap actuators; 777 flap position gearboxes; 767 and 777 cargo door actuators; 747, 767 and 777 cargo hold smoke detectors, and various flight control and position sensors.

Curtiss-Wright began delivering flight control actuation components to Boeing in the 1960s starting with trailing edge flap actuators for the Boeing 737. The business has grown to include components on all Boeing commercial airplanes as well as Boeing military aircraft. Curtiss-Wright's Motion Control business segment is currently a silver-rated supplier and two-time winner of the Boeing President Award.

These commercial products are currently manufactured in Curtiss-Wright's facilities located in Shelby, North Carolina, Stratford, Canada, Irwindale, California and Long Beach, California.
