CURTISS-WRIGHT AWARDED CONTRACT TO SUPPLY BOEING 747-8

June 18, 2007

To Provide State-of-the-Art Rotary Actuators on 747-8 Aircraft

ROSELAND, N.J., June 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Curtiss-Wright Corporation (NYSE: CW), through its Motion Control segment, has received a contract from The Boeing Company to provide leading edge rotary actuators for the new family of 747-8 aircraft.

"Curtiss-Wright has a long standing relationship with Boeing and we are very pleased to be participating on this exciting new program," said Martin R. Benante, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Curtiss-Wright. "The 747 has been a very successful family of planes and this evolutionary design will provide customers with superior operating and economic performance."

The leading edge rotary actuators are a key element in providing lift for the aircraft. They extend the front edge of the wing thereby increasing the wing surface to enhance the lift characteristics of the aircraft at low speeds. Each aircraft requires in excess of 70 actuators. Production hardware will begin delivery in the second quarter of 2008, from Curtiss- Wright's facilities in Gastonia, N.C. and Shelby, N.C. Formal qualification for the rotary actuators will be completed by the end of 2007.

The Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental and 747-8 Freighter are new high- capacity aircraft based on Boeing's very successful 747 platform. Boeing indicates the new aircraft will offer airlines the lowest operating costs and best economics of any large passenger or freighter airplane.
