CURTISS-WRIGHT ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF TOM QUINLY AS PRESIDENT MOTION CONTROL SEGMENT

Curtiss-Wright Corporation (NYSE: CW) today announced that Tom Quinly has been named President of Curtiss-Wright Controls, the Motion Control segment of Curtiss-Wright Corporation. He is succeeding David C. Adams who was recently promoted to the newly created position of Co-Chief Operating Officer of Curtiss-Wright Corporation.

With more than 25 years in the defense, aerospace and commercial sectors, Mr. Quinly most recently led Curtiss-Wright's embedded computing business as Vice President of the Motion Control segment. He has been responsible for successfully integrating six previous acquisitions, including achieving strong organic growth, and enhancing the product portfolio with additional acquisitions, including Pentland Systems and VMETRO, both completed in 2008.

Mr. Quinly joined Curtiss-Wright in 2004 as part of the acquisition of Dy4 Systems. He holds a B.S. degree in Industrial Technology from Utah State University and an MBA from St. Edwards University in Austin, Texas. He completed the Harvard Business School's General Managers Program in 2001.
