CURTISS-WRIGHT ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF KARL KLEIDERER AS SENIOR DIRECTOR, CORPORATE DEVELOPMENT

PARSIPPANY, N.J., Oct. 16, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Curtiss-Wright Corporation (NYSE:CW) announced today the appointment of Karl Kleiderer as Senior Director, Corporate Development, reporting to David C. Adams, President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Kleiderer will be responsible for overall leadership of the Company's merger and acquisition (M&A) efforts and strategic corporate development activities.

Commenting on the appointment, Mr. Adams said, "Karl brings a wealth of experience in both M&A and the industrial manufacturing industry. He will play a critical role in leading our very capable team towards attaining our strategic growth objectives."

Mr. Kleiderer has an extensive background within the aerospace industry and joins Curtiss-Wright after eight years at Goodrich Corporation where he managed all aspects of M&A activity including sourcing, analysis, diligence, deal structuring and contract negotiations. He previously worked in investment banking for Morgan Stanley in New York City and William Blair & Company in Chicago. He began his professional career after serving for six years as a U.S. Naval Flight Officer A-6 Intruder Bombardier. Kleiderer holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Notre Dame and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance and Organizational Behavior from the Kellogg Business School at Northwestern University.
